 Arlingtonians Meeting Emergency Needs

Arlingtonians Meeting Emergency Needs, Inc. (AMEN) is a not-for-profit organization without religious affiliation that provides one-time,
same-day emergency financial assistance to residents of Arlington County, Virginia, who encounter unexpected financial emergencies.

Mission Statement

The mission of AMEN is to provide emergency financial assistance to Arlington residents who are in crisis and unable to pay their bills.

AMEN’s History

AMEN was founded in 1975 by a collaboration of concerned Arlington residents and faith community leaders.  Their goal was to create a coordinated response to genuine financial emergency requests, to assure that limited funds would go to serve real needs.  AMEN has continued to provide this emergency financial assistance to Arlington residents in need for 35 years.
